My dogs love these treats!

I WILL NOT HEALTH/GENETIC GUARANTEE ANY PUPPY SPAYED OR NEUTERED BEFORE 2 YRS OF AGE!
What do we feed our dogs? This is the BIG dog food dilemma......Too many contradicting reports and research that is misleading makes this decision so difficult.
I have come to the conclusion that a variety of kibble and raw is the answer. We don't eat the same thing every day and neither should our pets. I am feeding Farmina Cod, Orange, and pumpkin along with several different raw meals including Darwins, Primal Pronto rabbit, lamb, or duck, and North West Naturals a bison /beef mixture and freeze dried raw. All my raw foods have a variety of fruits and veggies. I incorporate a little of each daily and or weekly in order to meet the nutritional needs of my Springer family.
**Puppies are weaned to Primal Pronto Raw lamb at 3-4 weeks mixed with kefir for probiotic. I add Farmina kibble with the Primal Pronto Raw at 5 weeks and continue adding the kibble until they are on just Farmina kibble by 8 weeks. If you are waiting for one of my puppies to join your family and would rather they stay on raw please let me know and I won't add the kibble.
I don't think one brand of kibble everyday meets the nutritional needs and that is why we are having so many health issues with our pets. I am also a firm believer in feeding dog food without added hormones and chemicals (GMO) so a high quality dog food is important and if the main ingredients aren't meat then you aren't giving your dog a high quality dog food. **** I also will not buy a dog food that has been recalled.
Diet for Dogs: Fake Ingredients NOT Recommended! When reading labels on dog food packages, you will notice that many companies add artificial coloring and preservatives. These ingredients can lead to hyperactivity.
Avoid products with the following ingredients:
artificial flavorings
additives
animal by-products
artificial preservatives
and possible allergenic glutens
corn or soy
Consider switching to all-natural alternatives to processed kibbles, treats, and supplements. These foods offer fresh meats, vegetables, and vitamins.
Keep Moving ,Dogs can benefit from an active lifestyle.
Exercise is good for us all – humans and dogs. Consistent exercise can provide many health benefits that include keeping your pet healthy and flexible. A long walk can help eliminate excess energy and calm a dog down, reduce excitability and help the dog get a good night's rest.
Owning a dog is not something you should take lightly. Dogs depend on us for food, shelter and much more. Dogs depend on us to maintain their health, and watch their diets. Dog ownership is a huge responsibility.

I have been doing some research on pet robot vacuums and this brand came highly recommended: eufy RoboVac 11, High Suction, Self-Charging Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with Drop-Sensing Technology and High-Performance Filter for Pet, Designed for Hard Floor and Thin Carpet

Apple cinnamon dog biscuits:
1c unsweetened applesauce *
1teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/3 c oat or rice flour **
1egg
Mix all ingredients, roll and cut with a cookie cutter, bake at 350° for 30 minutes
* You can also use canned pumpkin or sweet potatoes
** I do not use wheat flour (I am a freak and do not give my dogs anything with wheat in it)
I also either roll mine into 1/2 " balls and flatten with a fork OR line a cookie sheet with tin foil, spread the dough and bake, let sit overnight in the oven or until the oven is cool (this will make them crunchy), cool then cut or break into pieces.
Store in an airtight bag.
I didn't write this but it speaks volumes and what every puppy buyer should commit to:
Even though my patience runs thin some days, I have to remember I made a promise to him 15.5 years ago. I promised to love him his whole life; till the very end even if that means I feel like I have a newborn baby to take care of all night. I love him even when he pees puddles in my kitchen bc he doesn't realize he's not outside. I love him when he poops on the way to the back door because he can't hold it. Love is when I hold the water bowl for him because his body won't let him reach down to drink without falling over. Love is forever; till the last minute. You don't get to break your promise when you have a baby or when you move houses. It's not when they get big and aren't a cute puppy anymore. It's not when they chew up your shoes or dig holes in your backyard. It's not when they aren't potty trained as quickly as you like. Or when they jump all over people because you haven't trained them. It's not when they get to be 10 years old and you're tired of them or when they get sick and you don't want to pay the vet. Or when you aren't a responsible owner and they get heart worms and you don't want to pay for the treatments. Or because they weren't spayed you don't want to deal with a litter of puppies. I know the list can go on and on (especially those who work at the HS and City of Animal Services). I'm sure they've heard every excuse out there. Just remember when you get that puppy or kitten, you've made a promise. You promise to love them their whole life because they will love you completely till the end.
Please be careful when looking to buy a puppy and do so from a reputable breeder.
1. If you talk to a breeder and all they do is breed, breed, breed, and do little to no health tests, and they don't work with their dogs either with agility, conformation, obedience, rally, therapy, etc they are JUST a puppy mill.
2. Visit their web site and see how many litters they have currently and are expecting.
3. Check with the Attorney General of their state to see if there have been any complaints.
4. More than one litter at a time means the puppies receive little socialization .
5. If they only breed for profit and don't health test no matter their reason, you aren't getting what you pay for.
6. Pay attention to how many dogs/bitches they have and the turn around they go through.
I know of several good breeders, so if you are looking and I don't have what you are looking for, I will point you in the right direction. There are a couple of breeders in Montana that are PUPPY MILLS and I would run, not walk from them.
This is an X-ray of a 2 week old puppy. Look at how far the bones have to grow before they become a proper bony joint! This is why you should never let puppies jump, walk up/down stairs, over exercise, or over train. Doing to much impact activity at a young age will cause serious issues later in life, or even at a young age as hip dysplasia and other orthopoedic conditions are rising in puppies!
Remember the puppy rule for every month increase activity by 5 minutes! For example an 8 week old puppy only needs 10 minutes physical activity a day - a 6 month old only needs 30 minutes a day of physical activity!!
*physical activity includes - going for a walk, training, playing fetch, running, playing with other dogs etc.
Enjoy your new puppy but remember you wouldn't make a 6 month old baby run a mile a day so don't make your puppy either!
